Ten days of… BenRiach single casks

Posted by: Ruben In: BenRiach

BenRiach single cask 2009Each year BenRiach selects a small number of exceptional single casks.

For the year 2009 Batch 6 comprises nine vintages:

(*) These are finishes. The others had a full maturation in their oak type.

They were launched in September, together with the GlenDronach single casks, but reviews are still very scarce. Let’s change that. I’ll be reviewing seven of these BenRiach single casks over the next 10 days.

Most them are bought from Whiskysamples.eu, swapped with friends or taken home from festivals or tasting, and a lot just come from my personal collection of bottles.

Hehe, storage is indeed a major problem. A lot of them are in boxes and they already take up half a room.

It took me about 5 years to collect. Nowadays with the availability of more samples, I buy less bottles (but better and more expensive).
