Glen Keith 1993 (North Star for DeinWhisky)

Glen Keith 1993 (North Star for DeinWhisky)

We’ve had a series of DeinWhisky exclusives lately, and here’s another one from a distillery that is often getting good grades at this age: Glen Keith 1993 at 28 years of age, bottled by North Star Spirits.

Glen Keith 28 yo 1993 (47,3%, North Star 2021, first-fill bourbon barrel, 147 btl.)

Nose: a warm, juicy and exotic fruitiness. Truckloads of pineapples, mangoes, aromatic peaches and hints of banana yoghurt. Hints of rice pudding, cake and subtle wax. Lime and gooseberries after a while, as it becomes more minty and floral, loosing some of the summery warmth.

Mouth: creamy and still very fruity. Peaches, sweet orange and pineapple candy. Mirabelles on syrup. Then some bourbonny wood (the sweet vanilla side – spices not so much). Blossomy touches. Spearmint.

Finish: medium, still sweet and fruity, with syrupy touches, candy floss and light oak.

Deeply fruity whisky, very easy-going and almost impossible not to like. Rather uncomplicated perhaps, but the gloo-gloo level is extremely high. Exclusive to DeinWhisky.de.
