Nose: starts on malty notes, followed by generous honey and a bright, citrusy side. Cooked fruits, lemon candy and green apples. Light herbs and green tea. Quite bright and fresh, even though nothing stands out.

Mouth: similar comments. Nice bright lemon notes and marmalade, now countered by more malty notes, some hints of ale and light vanilla. A bit of green oak and more and more green tea towards the end. Some grapefruit as well.

Finish: long, with zesty notes, pepper, barley and mocha.

Nice whisky with a decent amount of bright fruity notes and a big malty base. There’s little sherry to be found and the flavours are not huge, so perhaps a little expensive for what it really is. Still available from Whiskybase for instance.

Score: 86/100
