(46,3%, OB 2018)

Nose: a bit disturbing, with yeasty / fermenting notes up front, even a vinegary edge (pickle juice) and a touch of burnt wood and sulphur too. Behind this there is porridge, walnuts and pipe tobacco. Cloves, oranges, whiffs of red berries. As funky as Tobermory can be.

Mouth: walnuts, oranges, demerara sugar, more enjoyable than the nose but always with this sour side. Plums and cranberries. Then pepper and clove, as well as some caramel sweetness.

Finish: medium, with leathery spice, berry sweetness and cinnamon.

Not really my style, although I have to say it grew on me while I wrote the review. However for this amount of money, I would look elsewhere. Still available from Master of Malt.
